i feel the urge to post an update tomorrow... anyways about multiple colour for pets. I know some petsites have paintbrushes, potions and whatnot to change the pet colour... so i was thinking pills or injections (though i'm open to better opinions, just wanted to be original)

yeah, promoting drugs is definitely the way to go XD since the kiinuwala are hatched from eggs, how about the fragments of eggshell of certain kiinuwala for imbuing new colorations? or maybe shards of colored crystal or something. you'd have to take it to some npc who can draw out the pigment in it and somehow transfer it to the kiinuwala.

(wasn't sure how i'd get the item to change a pet through an npc with vpetsite).

Well, since they are creatures of the moon (I have not read the plot as well so correct me if I'm wrong xP) why not have the moon be the thing that changes their coloration?
Let's say there is a NPC that has discovered a way to harness the power of moon rays. By carefully sorting through the spectrum of color in the light he can then use a secret ritual to draw that single element/color/etc out of the moon ray and place it in a special 'crystal bottle'. The light would then bounce off the crystal faces and stay trapped. Since the process in capturing the light and the making of the bottle varies, most of them taking a long time to be finished, the NPC would charge the trainers high prices to 'pour' this light onto their pets and alter the color/genetics/DNA.
Again I haven't read the plot so I'm unsure if this would work. xP
Edit: Sorry had another idea, haha! For random events or quests, a trainer could stumble across a crystal cavern that has taken the color out of the spectrum of the ray naturally. Of course you could add multiple factors to this. If the trainer has one of the specially made crystal bottles with them (which should be pretty expensive) they can attempt to capture the ray in it. If not they have the option of subjecting their pet to the ray naturally. If they decide not to or the pet cannot absorb the ray they lose out on the chance. OR (not sure if this is going to be actually in the site) if they have a pet that has a high trust/loyalty they can leave it behind for ONE day to guard the cavern so the trainer can return to town to buy a bottle/retrieve a pet that can absorb the ray.
If you can't tell, today is a slow day at work. My mind is too active... -x-

so..... the ray is trapped in the bottle... and it's really expensive... when you open it.... it flows onto the kiinuwala. (just wanted to some up the main parts... i'm pretty oblivious so i wanted to check)

Something like that, yes! ^w^ Of course basic colors could be cheaper, as the creatures could be those colors without the moon rays.
For instance lets say the pets can hatch and be either blue, green, purple, or yellow in color. Since the pets can hatch to these colors the NPC wouldn't have the hardest time pulling them from moon rays and altering them to affect pets. On the other hand if a trainer wanted to turn their pet gold, for instance, it would be expensive becuase the NPC would have to spend more time working the spectrum color to affect the pet.

on a side note, how many pets can one person have at once? and what happens to old pets if we want to get a new/different kind of pet? if pets will be able to evolve, though i know they won't, i shall love this site even more.

[glow=purple,2,300]I would advise one pet per user if they evolve, otherwise perhaps three so as not to throw the server overboard. xD[/glow]

Hmm...for future reference, is it preferable to have NPCs be full body portraits or just shoulders and up? Or we could go even further and have NPC reference sheets with their different facial expressions available for your perusal. Personally I'd opt for the full body and will draw them that way until told otherwise, since we could just crop the face by itself if a profile picture or similar was needed - I'd like other opinions on this as well.
Secondly, I wanna see staff members drawn as some of the NPCs, which we all know would be undeniably cool. That usually requires having our faces be known which I think most of us would find to be rather intrusive(and embarrasing), so I've settled on something else. Instead of actual pictures you'll be able to post a short description of your appearance on the writing wall(once I make the thread), of course this will give you leeway as to your desired image, such as costumes or age and personality, or whatever. You can be a little creative but hopefully you should still be able to recognize yourself afterwards. With that said I'm off to make the 'NPC Thread of Desire'. See you there.

Oh that does sound cool :3 but can we have pictures anyways just for a better reference? I really don't care if people see me >>

I suppose if you want you can post a pic or a link to one in the NPC Thread of Desire along with your short description, or perhaps there should be board solely for people's pictures? Its up to the individuals I guess, I'm really camera shy most of the time - but I could probably scrounge for a photo if someone was especially curious.

Guilds. Will Lunaire have them? Will the new V-Petsite even have that feature? If so, will people be able to make their own guilds, or will there be official factions that people can choose to align themselves with? This question came to me when I started to write a mini-story involving a dark guild/faction, however I can't very well write a story about a guild that couldn't exist now could I? Yes, I could! But I'd like my story to be as factual as possible in references to the Lunaire world. If Lunaire won't have guilds then I'll just alter my story a wee bit, and have the story occur in Lunaire's 'near' future.

[glow=purple,2,300]I like the idea of guilds but not in the traditional sense. I think it'd be good if, when they signed up, each new member chose a faction. I remember thinking it'd be cool if you could either join a faction or be a free-lancer, making your way in the wide world. There would be benifits and downfalls for both options (faction members can call on their faction for help if needed) but I dunno...[/glow]
