[glow=purple,2,300]Um... *sheepish* I'm really strange in this area. I do listen to stuff but I wouldn't call it music. Mostly, I listen to the discs onto which I downloaded my audio bible and I have audio files of my lectures so I often listen to them.
Poetry: Classical or epic music. LotR soundtrack, that sort of thing.
Other writing: Generaly lean towards a style which suits what I'm trying to write. I often listen to some of the classical works I learned a long time ago while I'm writing sad scenes and whatnot. I've listened to soft rock and, once, heavy metal while writing the climactic battle scene for a saga.
Graphic art: This is when my bible gets listened to plenty but other genres include Celtic musi, Maori Waiata or Powhiri.
Traditional art: Erm, country and western music would have to be the most common but also soft rock.
I've found that, for all of these, the music I'm listening to at the time influences my work greatly. Perhaps it is the fact that I am a musical person (I have True Pitch) or maybe it's the same for everyone?[/glow]
