Sarn... out of all people I replied so late. I'm sorry. T.T See you got yourself DA, nice.
Moving on; from looking at the pieces in your DA, you’re interested in doing npc's? Of course if you’re interested in doing pets or items I’d need examples. ^^ No rush though. Looking at your work you don’t seem new to this type of stuff. The first thing that hits me is the colouring style, nothing wrong with it but it wouldn’t normally be seen in a petsite. Of course sometimes other styles are needed. But i can see testing of texture in there.
For me, personally, I’m not a big fan of gimp for general art other than graphics and such. I find it hard for linear and such but there are some tutorials on using gimp to the best. It’s fun to play around and get to know what you’re actually working with first though.
Going back to your art pieces, the human anatomy is pretty complicated as well as folds and how things fall. The hair doesn’t fall correctly but that would also depend on the texture of the hair... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lets start again. Sarn, my brain is not working properly and I don’t know why >.<. Would you like me to fetch some tutorials covering several features and techniques on anatomy of animals and humans? As well as on colouring, folds, hair, and the several other things?

Hmmm, you've confused me. xD I suspect that was a critique, though a very sheepish one at that. The points you should not are, for the Drow (the frontal view) I had to follow a design set down by Drowtales. Drow have different proportions to humans, hence the elongated chin, the large eyes and the shoulders-which-are-too-broad. Aside from that, the other features should've looked semi-human - if a little ethereal.
As for 'While He Lay Sleeping', that is an example of the kind of art I would donate to a scene, rather than an NPC. You're correct in your assertion that I'm not all that great with pet/item art. I would draw the NPCs of Lunaire and then take on the task of perhaps illustrating stories people give me, or illustrating my own.
If you'd like me to submit a human NPC piece, you'll have to give me plenty of time, since I'm swamped in examinations, scholarship essays and the Lord knows what else. DX I'll do my best, though.

You're right... it was very sheepish. And I feel I've just confused myself reading back through that. I would prefer that you show a human NPC piece. Submit it whenever you're ready.

Ack, so many art projects on the go, I haven't had much time. Not to mention the fact that I've had my scholarship exams to worry about. ^^; I will get something to you before New Years, but not before the end of November. NaNo takes priority.
